Sure-Can Playboys 2nd CD

So the Sure-Can Playboys are getting their 2nd CD together! We recorded the basic tracks last August, the 4 of us plus the one and only Sean-Patrick O'Hanrahan on keys,
in Tim Bond's studio .
The end of last year was a uniquely strange time when we were relatively busy playing local gigs in pub gardens, in increasingly frosty conditions. So the tracks of our new opus had been dozing quietly upstairs in my home studio.
With the most bizarre New Year's Eve in my life out of the way, I began listening to and rough mixing the 7 tracks we did, and now I'm very excited! It is a testament to each musician involved how in the groove everything is, and how fabulous everything sounds.
What happens next is I shall be adding some singing, and background vocals, courtesy of Cath Coombs and Clare Hayes,
and saxophone on one or two tracks which will feature the magnificent Myke Clifford.
With things as they are, we may well have to do these parts remotely, but we've all got quite proficient at that in the last year...
It will then remain to mix and master everything, print up CDs, and release it digitally.
So we are now hoping to encourage you to pre-order, either a digital download for £7 or more, or a CD for £10 or more, which we'll mail to you as soon as they are ready. With a little money up front, we can pay for CD manufacture, digital release, our much valued side women and men's time and talent, and possibly some professional mastering and promotion.
We so appreciate the support we have enjoyed, especially locally in Cambridge UK. We believe you are really going to enjoy these fresh recordings, and by reserving your own copies now, you'll be helping us bring the project to a happy conclusion.
It will be at least a month, and probably a little longer, before all the music will be mixed and mastered and ready for CD manufacture. However, the sooner you are able to pay for your copies, the happier our guest artists will be(!), and the quicker we will have an idea of what we can and can't do in terms of promotion.
