Hi everyone!

My name is Sumner and I am a painter and designer. SUR is a comprehensive creative project where I will live and travel in a van across South America, attending art residencies, teaching art classes, and dialoguing with others about what creativity and community mean in our world. The art I create and stories I hear on the journey will then be shown at two shows in the U.S. and will help fundraise for arts organizations in South America.

Then, in 2024, I will travel from the southern tip of South America up to the Canadian border, hosting art workshops and shows along the way.
