Supreme Court DACA Fight
Donation protected
On November 12th, 2019 the Supreme Court will hold oral arguments for the 3 cases regarding the Trump administration's action on ending the DACA program.
The courts have been our only hope of protection. Several lawsuits were filed against the administration's actions to terminating DACA in 2017. As a result, three nationwide injunctions issued by U.S. district courts — in California, New York, and D.C — have allowed people who have previously had DACA to renew.
These injunctions could end with the Supreme Court and our lives will not only be in danger, but they could be held hostage by the Trump administration in exchange for laws that would hurt the undocumented community, asylum seekers, worsen our immigration system, and/or funds for the border wall. This scenario is what many envisioned when the Trump administration attempted to end the program in 2017.
We need the courtroom packed with Dreamers when SCOTUS hears our case.
I plan on using these funds to get myself and two other Dreamers from Northern California to Washington D.C. for the week of the case. Our plan is to stir up media attention on this issue, hold meetings with Congress members to advocate for a solution, and get inside the court room to be present during our case in front of the Supreme Court of the United States.
We appreciate every donation and all the support we have received over the years. Please reach out for any questions regarding these efforts at [email redacted].
Thank you,
