Hi everyone! I'm the Staff Advisor this year for UMBC Adaa, University of Maryland, Baltimore County's Official Premier Co-Ed Bollywood Fusion Dance Team.

This amazing, talented & dedicated team of students at UMBC is looking for support to take their performances to the next level.

Financial assistance will support with the many expenses that come with running a university dance troupe, including: participating in dance competitions (transportation, competition fees), production expenses, and costumes. Adaa has not been able to participate in the competition circuit since before COVID and needs your support to do so again. Your contribution will help the team achieve their dreams and represent UMBC with pride and passion.

I first worked with Adaa to bring the team to perform at a UMBC cultural celebration this past spring. Their performance was beautiful and they are such wonderful humans to work with. This year, I'm proud to serve as their staff advisor. I'm supporting Adaa because they're an energetic, talented group *and* UMBC has a large South Asian & diaspora community and we need to invest in their cultural expression and community building on campus! This is particularly important now, with state budget cuts locally and nationally, higher education funding under threat.
