Support Dennis Epling's Fight for his Life

Hi, my name is Lina Colleli, and I’m raising funds for my close friend Megan Epling and her family, whose lives were turned upside down by a medical emergency no one could have anticipated.

On Wednesday, July 9th, Megan’s husband, Dennis Epling, went in for what was expected to be a routine heart valve replacement performed in the cath lab. Megan and Dennis were reassured by his care team that there was no need for the procedure to be performed in the operating room, and that the cath lab setting was completely appropriate.

But during the procedure, tragedy struck. Dennis’s aorta was unintentionally torn, resulting in a life-threatening emergency. He was rushed into emergency open-heart surgery, which lasted more than 10 hours.

Since that day, Dennis has endured a series of traumatic medical events:

Dennis has been through more than any body should have to endure, yet he continues to fight with everything he has—for his wife Megan and their three beautiful children.

This situation has been completely devastating for their family, both emotionally and financially. With both Dennis and Megan unable to work, I’m doing everything I can to help support them through this nightmare.
