Like most years, 2016 has been full of ups and downs for us all. Unfortunately for our family, we recently received some devastating news: our beloved sister Renee, a hardworking, 43 year old single mother of 2, has an aggressive form of invasive intraductile breast cancer. She is scheduled to have a radical double mastectomy on December 13th swiftly followed by radiation and possible chemotherapy. Adding to this misfortune is the fact that Renee lives in Chesapeake, Virginia, 600 miles away from her family and any real support system. Combine this with her being laid off from her job of 12 years when her job was outsourced in April, and an already terrible situation has turned bleak. Renee may not be able to work for a year, and she has two young sons and an adorable pup to support, not to mention ever growing medical bills.

In spite of this challenging diagnosis, Renee has faced her predicament with strength and tenacity. She is determined to overcome this obstacle, as she has with others in the past.

Regrettably, her immediate family does not have the means to support her financially. We are asking for your help so that Renee can focus on her recovery instead of how she will pay her mortgage and feed her family.

With her procedure looming daringly close around the corner, we need your help now. Any and all funds raised will be spent on paying for her medical care, mortgage/utilities, groceries, and other necessities.

Renee is a strong, beautiful, kind-hearted woman who would do anything for anyone. We will never be able to repay you for your kindness, but we will be forever grateful if you could help save our fearless sister whom we love so dearly. Please consider making a donation, together we can make a difference in the lives of Renee and her sons. If you are unable to make a donation, prayers are always welcome.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
