Shelter for Shameka & her children

Turning in a murderer left this hard-working mother and her two children homeless.
Jesse Purcell was working days and sleeping in his car nights. One night he was awoken at gunpoint, shot to death and put into the trunk of his car. After driving the car around for a few days, with Jesse still in it, the murderer dumped it on the side of the highway. Afterwards he would callously go on to brag about what he had done to Shameka’s nephew.
When Jesse was found his family and friends were devastated that such a young and vibrant life was cut short and further that they might never know who had taken him from them. But Shameka had overheard the conversation between her nephew and the killer and knew that whoever the victim was his family deserved answers. She called the police knowing that it would upset her family; and it did. She was thrown out of her home with her 2 year old daughter and 12 year old son.
The local shelters close in April and Shameka’s partner, who is in the military, is unable to send money until late next month. This has left her living out of her car, much like Jesse. We would like to raise enough money to at least put her up in a hotel for a month until she has saved for a more permanent residence. This fundraiser will only last a week, as we would like to get the money to her asap. (apparently we can send her money next week and still collect so it will be open longer)
