I am so excited, for the last 3 years I have been preparing and applying for international programs that send students out of the country to study other cultures. I finally got accepted to the Student Diplomacy Corps program to Uruguay in South America. This was my top choice. I have been studying spanish for the last couple of years in hope to travel to a Latin America and converse with the native speakers.

This program is invitation only and I was blessed to be invited out of hundreds of other students from around the world. This is an awesome opportunity for me to live and experience the every day life of the Uruguay people.

In this program I will be fortunate to travel the capital city Montevideo while living with a host family. I will explore the colonial architecture while learning how to make traditional dishes. The cost is $8000 they are giving me a scholarship of $5300 and I have to pay the rest of about $2700. This is a great opportunity for me educationally it would help me and get into one of the universities that I plan to attend.
