Kathy Sala is a great friend, amazing mom to Daniel, and fabulous Kindergarten teacher at McKinley Elementary. Kathy Sala was diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis and scoliosis in August of 2014. Kathy has been in so much pain that she has been unable to work since August 14th. She has been meeting with numerous specialists to create a plan to relieve her pain and repair the damage to her spine. Kathy will need to undergo two back surgeries. Her first surgery will occur on December 4th and her second will be on December 29th. Kathy is optimistic and hopes to be able to return to work February 1, 2015. Many of her colleagues have donated sick leave to Kathy. However, she will not be allowed any more sick leave after November 17th. After that date Kathy will have no income until she is able to return to work, and when she does return to work she will still have physical therapy and many doctors’ appointments. Kathy has a long road to recovery and we are asking that you help her through donations, great and small, to help cover her monthly expenses until she is able to return to work. Kathy is determined to recover from this debilitating disorder! Let’s show her how much she means to us by supporting her during this difficult situation.
