Hi everyone! This is Calvin Chervinko, co-director, writer, and actor for the upcoming thriller/horror short film entitled PERSONALITY. Thanks for being here!

This story began as an idea I had back in college—one that stayed with me for years until I finally put it on paper. It draws inspiration from psychological thrillers like Shutter Island, Split, and episodes of Black Mirror—stories that explore identity, perception, and control. I mean how could you not draw some ideas with titles such as those?

PERSONALITY tackles a story you may have seen before, but in a completely different way. You may watch this film and think that this is just a normal story about a man attending a dinner party. But below the surface brews a tension that slowly but surely releases itself over the course of the night. Leaving you with the feeling that something from the get go has always been slightly off and bears the question-”who’s really in control here?”.

We are trying to make this film now in June 2026 so that we can do a festival run in the fall where we can submit to a number of bigger festivals such as Tribeca, Sundance, etc.. but also some festivals in the thriller/horror genre during the Halloween season.
