My neighbor is an emergency Doctor. Sometimes we walk outside at the same moment on the way to our respective jobs. On Monday this happened, I really wanted to run over and give him a giant hug and say 'thank you'. With the 6 foot rule and Covid-19 cases rising I definitely cannot do that right now. I thought what can I do to tell him I appreciate everything he does.
The medical community is feeling the stress of this pandemic. As things become more urgent and our healthcare workers stand at the front lines how can we help? I think we help with what we know.
As local small business owners what we know is showing love through our products. Sharing a perfect cup of coffee, a delicious pastry, a beautifully constructed sandwich. These are things we produce out of passion and love for food, beverage, and most importantly people. We started our businesses to share these things with our community.
How can we help together? Local small businesses, KLVN Coffee Lab, DeFer Coffee, Mediterra Bakehouse, Madeleines Bakery & Square Cafe are teaming up to get their goods to healthcare providers. For the folks working all day, the nightshift and the environmental staff.
