Cette campagne de sociofinancement vise à soutenir Mamadi III Fara Camara et sa famille, en plus de les aider à poursuivre leurs démarches judiciaires.
M. Mamadi III Camara Fara est un étudiant au cycle supérieur à la Polytechnique de Montréal, chargé de laboratoire et futur père de jumeaux.
Le 28 janvier, il fut interpellé par la police de Montréal sous prétexte d'une infraction au Code de la route. En attendant dans son véhicule, le policier aurait été attaqué par un suspect toujours en fuite. Monsieur Camara a immédiatement téléphoné au 911 pour signaler l'agression. Malheureusement pour lui, il se fera arrêter comme suspect principal pour tentative de meurtre auprès du policier et verra son nom placardé dans les médias comme l'agresseur du policier. Son logement sera complètement fouillé et il sera incarcéré pendant six jours jusqu'au 3 février.
Il sera relâché par arrêt des procédures suite à une erreur d'identification de la police et du directeur des poursuites criminelles à son égard.
Pour la famille Camara, cette poursuite vise à mettre en lumière les comportements hautement inadéquats des policiers durant cette enquête.

This crowdfunding campaign aims to support Mamadi III Fara Camara and his family, in addition to helping them continue their legal proceedings.
Mr Mamadi III Camara Fara is a graduate student and laboratory manager at the Polytechnique de Montréal and future father of twins.
On January 28, he was arrested by the Montreal police, under the pretext of a traffic violation. While waiting in his vehicle, the police officer was reportedly attacked by a suspect who is still at large. Mr. Camara immediately called 911 to report the assault. Unfortunately for him, he will be arrested as a prime suspect for attempted murder to a police officer and will see his name all over the media as the police officer's assailant. His home will be turned upside down during the police searched and he will be held in custody for six days until February 3.
He will be released by a stay of proceedings following an error of identity from the police and the director of criminal prosecution in his regard.
For the Camara family, this lawsuit aims to highlight theinadequate behavior of the police during this investigation.
