For over 8 years, One Deen Group has been serving the Sierra Leone Muslim community through impactful Islamic, educational, social, and media programs. Thousands of Muslims across the country—students, youth, scholars, and families—have benefited directly from our initiatives.
However, for the past 2 years, we have faced serious financial challenges due to the difficulty of securing sustainable funding in Sierra Leone or from International Donors or Partners. This threatens the continuation of our Islamic activities, institutions, and programs that are a lifeline for many Muslims in our communities.
About Us
Founded in 2017, One Deen Group is an Islamic organisation based in Sierra Leone. Our mission is to empower Muslims through education, community programs, Islamic media, and national events that strengthen Islamic identity, knowledge, and unity.
Through our different sub-organisation, we have pioneered groundbreaking initiatives such as:
The first Islamic website, app, and online TV in Sierra Leone.
Hosting 19 major Islamic events attended by over 17,000 people since 2017.
Establishing a Muslim College, Vocational Centre, and Talent Academy.
Running Islamic education programs for adults, reverts, youth, and Imams.
Our Projects & Current Needs
1. Education & Institutions
What we do: We operate One Deen Educational Institute, comprising a College for Muslim students, Vocational Training Centre, Adult Islamic Education, Imam training, Muslim Youth Training, New Muslim Learning Program, and Talent Academy.
Problem: Space constraints, rent, facilities and financial administrative challenges.
Need: Expansion, sustainability, and staff support.
2. Islamic Events & Conferences
What we do: We have organised 19 major Islamic events, including the One Deen Islamic Conference, National Eid Festival, and Muslim Talent Show every year.
Problem: Rising costs and inconsistent donor support threaten continuity.
Need: Event funding to cover logistics, venues, publicity, and youth engagement.
3. Islamic Media & Awareness
What we do: Pioneered Sierra Leone’s first Islamic online platforms (website, app, TV) reaching millions.
Problem: Our website and app are down due to unpaid hosting fees; studio space has always been rented.
Need: A small rented media space, equipment, and hosting renewal to sustain outreach.
4. Other Community Services
What we do: Produce annual Islamic calendars, distributed Islamic educatinal CDs, supported other Islamic organizations with IT solutions.
Problem: Limited funds stop us from scaling these efforts.
Need: Modest budget for printing, distribution, and outreach.
Why Your Support Matters

Alhamdulillah, One Deen and staff have been given several awards in our Country. One unique thing about us is that 90% of our Initiatives are all unique in Sierra Leone. Our mission from day one is to fill in the gaps within our Islamic communities in order to have a well-rounded Islamic ecosystem in Sierra Leone.
