Morgan's Fight Against DIPG
Donation protected
Morgan is a smart, vibrant, beautiful 6-year old girl from South Carolina. She loves to dance, she loves all things princess, and she adores her baby brother Harrison. Just one month into first grade, Morgan received a devastating diagnosis.
On Monday, September 29, 2014, Morgan was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. DIPG is a tumor that affects the pons portion of the brainstem. The tumor has grown rapidly, and doctors have classified it as inoperable. DIPG is a rare and terminal form of pediatric brain cancer, and there have been few advances in treatment options for DIPG patients.
Thankfully, Morgan has been accepted into Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN where she will undergo treatment for 6 weeks.
Morgan's family needs financial support for treatment, MRIs, and regular blood tests; participation in clinical trials; and occupational and physical therapy. Any additional funds raised will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and The Cure Starts Now Foundation to fund research for pediatric brain cancers.
Please help us support Morgan and her family as they focus on hope, and on bringing Morgan as much joy and comfort as they can in this difficult time. We aim to raise awareness of DIPG, and find a cure. Thank you for your generosity as we fight for Morgan's recovery!
