Support Matt's Girls

We lost our beloved Matt on Tuesday May 30, 2017. A life that ended far too soon. For five long years Matt battled his depression and PTSD. He had highs (birth of sweet Charlotte) and lows (days upon days of not being able to get out of bed). Over this time he utilized counseling and medication as well as other treatments. Corrie and the rest of the family did what we could to love and support Matt through it all. It has devastated us that this horrible illness finally took him from us. As sad as we are for ourselves, it is his sweet babies who have lost the most....their daddy, role model, friend, protector, story teller, scarer of future boyfriends, and so much more.
Over the past week we have been surrounded by an amazing amount of love and prayers. Many of you have pulled me aside or messaged me about ways to support Matt's girls....his beloved Corrie who he met in preschool and married in 2008, Layla (6) who in many ways is Matt's mini, and sweet happy Charlotte (2).
As much as we can we'd like to keep the girls surrounded by what is familiar to them for the immediate future including keeping the girls in the same house and enrolled in the same activities (like gymnastics). As it sits right now, it will take some time to process death benefit claims with Matt's employer and the Government. Though this is normal, Corrie is currently left without any positive funds coming in. All funds raised by this campaign will immediately go to Corrie for Layla and Charlotte's living expenses and potentially college fund.
