My name is Marlie Martens. I’m a 17 year old high school senior who plans on attending the University of Arkansas, the fall of 2026. 

 On April 11th, 2026, my father, Michael Martens, passed away unexpectedly in a pedestrian accident. This has been an incredibly difficult time for me. My dad was a single parent and was the best dad ever, he wanted nothing more than to see me succeed in life and was my biggest supporter and dreamer. He was especially excited for me to start college this year because he never got to go and wanted the best for me. 

 With my dad’s sudden passing I am facing financial challenges to pursue my college dreams. I am reaching out to ask you for support to help me cover my college expenses, so I can honor my dad and pursue my academic career. Any contribution big or small makes a huge difference, and means the world to me.
