The last two weeks have been the craziest rollercoaster ride of Kelsey and Allan's life! 

After a week of being very ill at home, Kelsey was taken to the hospital because her health was getting progressively worse and worse. There, her medical team discovered that she had a blood infection and bilateral pneumonia. After several days of treating these illnesses in the ICU, her doctors were concerned because she was still declining.

After more testing, they discovered that Kelsey had an infected valve in her heart. The very next morning she was rushed into emergency open-heart surgery. 

Kelsey's medical team believe that the worst is over, but warned her and Allan that the recovery will be a long road.
