As many of you know, my oldest niece, Kelly Alfaro, has been struggling with ongoing medical issues for many years and has been seeing a team of specialists in Stanford to try and resolve some of her conditions and manage her pain. 

More recently, Kelly was experiencing debilitating migraines and had not been able to keep food or water down for a few weeks. On Thursday, July 9th, Kelly was rushed via ambulance to Lucille Packard Children's Hospital in Stanford so she could be treated by her usual team of specialists. 

These last two weeks have been a bit of a challenge. Kelly  has had many tests and treatments this last week and the doctors have ruled a lot out, but still don’t know what is causing her pain and inability to eat or drink. 

There is a long road ahead but we know that Kelly has a great team of doctors and specialists that are working together to find the answers needed to help her heal and eventually return home! We also know that treatments will need to be continued even when she does return home. 

Money raised will go towards medical bills and travel expenses to and from Stanford for her mom, Nicole, (my sister) and Grandma, Kerry, as they have been switching off time with Kelly and still trying to work a few hours while here in town.
