On Saturday, November 5th, Keith Cornell, lifelong partner of Diana Mason, suffered a massive brain aneurysm. Keith was life-flighted to a major trauma center in Boston where he underwent life-saving brain surgery despite the odds. He was hospitalized for over 3 weeks. Keith is now at a leading brain injury and rehabilitation center in the Boston Area where he is receiving much needed PT, OT, and medical care to help him continue his recovery from this life-threatening event.
Diana and Keith are both self-employed. Keith is a talented furniture and cabinet maker, and Diana is a nationally known professional show dog handler and golden retriever breeder. Neither Keith nor Diana are able to earn an income unless they are actively working, so this major medical event has had a catastrophic impact on their financial situation. In addition, there are considerable expenses associated with Keith’s care. From the cost of co-payments, deductibles, medical equipment, travel, anticipated home-care expenses, in addition to the loss of income for both Keith and Diana, the financial issues are staggering.
We are hoping to raise funds to offset the out-of-pocket costs associated with Keith’s medical needs and other expenses that resulted from both Keith and Diana being out of work. Every donation, no matter the size, is greatly appreciated and will go a long way in helping Keith get the medical care he needs and to assist Diana in being able to provide the support that Keith will continue to need during the healing process.
