Greetings everybody!
Our dear friend and soulsister Jasmine has gone through challenging couple of months and we are asking for help in supporting her recovery. In November, 2015 Jasmine was hospitalized after many months of struggling with different infections and uncertainty of what was really going on. Finally, doctors discovered that her heart valve was misfunctioning and she needed a mitral valve repair. After many stressful and painful weeks, Jasmine is finally recovering and trying to transition back into her last semester of college. We would like to ask YOU to help us support her in this difficult journey by raising funds to finance the medical bills.
A little bit about Jasmine: She was born in Wisconsin, lived in California for a couple of years and moved to Brazil with her family when she was 8. She has a younger brother who will be going to college next year, a little sister who always makes Jasmine smile and the most carying parents in the world. Jasmine always speaks of her family with love and respect.

She has a soul of an artist. Jasmine started playing a piano and singing when she was 5. Her first question to the doctor in the hospital before any testing or surgery started was: "Will my vocal cords be affected?". It truly reflects the importance and passion that music carries to Jasmine in her life. Jasmine's talent is recognized not only by amateurs like us- the professors at Agnes Scott are always impressed by her music. She was even recently awarded a scholarship from the Music Department and her goal is to continue music education in a graduate school.
Open this LINK to hear a sample of Jasmine's music. It is amazing...

She is a traveler, too. Last year, Jasmine spent a semester studying abroad in Cape Town getting to know the music culture over there. Anywhere in the world, Jasmine is always surrounded by a group of friends who love her dearly. We hope that this space will connect us all and help to maximize the impact that we can make in supporting Jasmine's recovery.

Here is what a few of Jasmine's friends share about her:
"Jasmine is an angel. She is a sincere, loving, and gentle soul. She is a source of light for so many people."
Andrea Maldonado
"Jasmine balances compassion and strength with so much grace. Her kindness is luminous!"
Haley Jensen
"Jasmine is like the sunset, but even better. At the end of the day, she will always show you true beauty, warmth, and light, but she also gives the best hugs." Kelsi Schechter-Vahid
"Jasmine has had tremendous impact on everyone she has come in contact with. We have all been blessed by her joy and vigor, and every moment with her brings out the best in everyone around her."
Adair Gomez
"One a scale from one to the sweetest person in the whole universe, Jasmine is that sweet person's sweet old grandma's sweet homemade cookies."
Briana Gardener

We believe that a community of people who share a strong hope or belief is capable of change. Now we can make a change in Jasmine's life. She has always been there for us, it is our time to give back. Remember, every $1 counts when multiplied by a cohort of friends.
Thank you.
