My name is Isela Vera, and I am a 39 year old woman in desperate need of a liver transplant that my family and I cannot cover financially. I am a single mother raising an 11 year old boy named Fernando. We currently reside in Asbury Park, NJ, but my origin is from Oaxaca, Mexico.
The Univerisity Hospital of Newark, NJ states that I cannot receive the transplant, nor join the waiting list, unless I provide a bank statement with $30,000 to cover approximately 1-year post liver transplant medication. Post-transplant patients must remain on anti-rejection medication lifelong, therefore the account will need to be replinished.
Completing this goal through Gofund me will allow me to prove the Financial Coordinator from the Division of Liver Transplant, Maria De Almedia, with enough money to cover my post transplant medication.
I have exhausted all of my resources leaving me with the hope and faith of Gofundme to support my family and I as we deal with my terminal illness. 
Receiving this transplant would allow me to continue to raise my son beyond 11 years old, see him graduate from high school, college, and pursue the career he always dreams of.
My trust is with God and Gofundme is that I will be able to be there for Fernando into his adulthood.

I am truly thankful to everyone taking the time to read this story. When I left the doctors office with this diagnosis, I was heart-broken and without hope.  Now that I am aware of the miracles gofundme has done for others, I feel I now have a chance to survive.
