It is with very heavy hearts that we share that Nick passed away peacefully with Paty and Julia by his side. This week has been an incredibly difficult one for their family and for all who love him.

Earlier this week, Nick’s condition changed significantly, and the family made the decision to begin hospice care so he could receive the comfort and support he needed. In his final days, he remained at home, surrounded by love and supported by the incredible care team at Denver Hospice.

Nick was an extraordinary person whose kindness, positivity, and warmth touched everyone who knew him. To know Nick was truly to love him. He was a devoted husband, an incredible father, a loving son, brother, and loyal friend. Nick had a special way of showing up for people — with encouragement, humor, and genuine care — and he made those around him feel seen and supported. His generosity of spirit and the joy he brought into the lives of others will be profoundly missed.

Throughout this incredibly difficult time, Nick and his family have been surrounded by an outpouring of love and support from their community.

As Paty and Julia navigate the heartbreaking days ahead, our hope is to ease some of the practical burdens so they can focus on grieving, remembering Nick, and supporting one another.

Funds raised here will help with meals, household needs, and other expenses that arise during this difficult time.

More than anything, we want Paty and Julia to feel the love of their entire community surrounding them. Nick meant so much to so many, and his memory will live on through the countless lives he touched.
