Thank you for visiting our fundraising page! Melissa was recently diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of cancer called Histiocytic Sarcoma (HS). Simply stated, HS is a cancer of the blood that causes a proliferation of white blood cells, attacking the body.
Due to her illness, Melissa is unable to work and, as everyone can understand, the bills are starting to pile up! Luckily, she is insured and has the emotional support of a wonderful family and great friends. However, a reduced income combined with unexpected insurance deductibles is creating additional stress at an already stressful time. With your help, we can offer Melissa some solace during this scary and unpredictable period of time.
