Kathy is a positive, upbeat person who is gifted with helping others build relationships, encouraging strong connections with God, and with one another. She will do whatever it takes to make people feel welcome, included, and loved, doing many things behind the scenes to support the people and activities she cares about. She has dedicated her life to serving God and serving others and she frequently reaches out to offer encouragement, friendship, and counsel to anyone with a need.

Until serious medical conditions grounded her, Kathy was an active person who enjoyed sports, church, and the outdoors. Kathy’s cerebrospinal fluid is leaking out of her spinal cord and her nervous system is unable to regulate essential body functions properly. She now cannot do many of the things that most of us take for granted. The effects on her body from these conditions are diverse, pervasive and extremely debilitating. From a very active, vigorous life, Kathy is now forced to remain in a horizontal position approximately 23 hours a day, as that is the position in which her body is able to regulate most effectively.
One of our goals is to raise enough money to help Kathy obtain a wheelchair accessible vehicle so that she can regain some independence and freedom, as she presently does not have a vehicle that can accommodate her power chair. We are hoping to raise what we need by Christmas so that she can obtain a vehicle before winter sets in!
With the help of prayer, her doctors, and the support and donations of caring individuals like you, our hope is that Kathy's health will improve enough that she will be able to help kids with physical disabilities to become involved in sports and other activities, something she had a vested interest in prior to her own disability. Our goal is to give Kathy a chance at independence so that she may continue to serve God to the fullest.
