Supporting Joseph's wife and 3 kids

Hello beloved family and friends,
My name is Kevin Yun and I am the nephew of Joseph Yun. I live in Queens, NY, and I am making this on behalf of his wife and three kids: Jiye Yun, Layna (7), Miya (5), Ethan (4).
I bring the unfortunate news that my uncle Joseph has passed away from lung cancer on March 27th, 2020 at the age 48. After battling for a few weeks, he peacefully went to be with God.
Most of you might have known Joseph, but I would like to share a little a bit of who he was and how the family battled together these past few weeks.
My uncle Joseph had a genuinely good heart and loved his family and kids. He was always kind to others especially children. He would light up when he would be with his or anyone else's kids and treat them so lovingly. He was the youngest of 5 siblings and was always of good spirit.
My uncle worked very hard to provide for his family despite the bad conditions in his store in the South Bronx. I could almost say he gave his life for his wife and kids by working pay check to pay check.
By the time he found out he had lung cancer, it was already in its advance stages. He was able to get chemo and radiation but it had little to no affect. His wife Jiye was by his side the whole time. This hardship became even harder due to the coronavirus. He did not contract the virus but the hospital banned all visitations due to the outbreak in New York. Jiye or any other family members were unable to visit for 2 days during his last week. Through much pleading and conversation, the hospital gave Jiye visiting rights during his last few days, and the family during his last few hours. Thoughts and prayers go out to anyone else that might be suffering because of the coronavirus.
I can't imagine what Jiye, his wife, had to go through during this time. The family is here to support her as she grieves. We created this gofundme to help Joseph's family continue on. I hope that Jiye would not have to worry about finances moving forward, and his children would get the utmost financial and emotional support.
