Hello friends! I'm moving to Asia at the end of May and I would like to ask for your help! :) I'm looking to raise $3000 to fill in the gaps for the ministry work I will be doing there. God willing, I am planning on spending at least a year in Taiwan working with a small church there to bring people to Jesus.
Alongside three friends from my church, I am moving to Kaohsiung, Taiwan on May 31st, and working in ministry (under the leadership of a missionary named Jake Taube and the local Christian community) and English language tutoring for local Taiwanese students. While I'm in Taiwan I will also take intensive Chinese language courses in order to develop my competency and ability to communicate with students in their own native language.
Since moving to San Francisco, God has been so merciful - I moved in right next to an amazing church called First Baptist. Through my Church, I have found inspiring Christian friends that have shown me with a real relationship with Jesus looks like. Jesus has, is, and will continue to change my life for the better. I've had my ups and my downs but I do not doubt that God has put me in this community to connect me to His masterful plan for my life. In 2017, I had an amazing spiritual experience with God on Twin Peaks where I believe God showed me that joining my friends in Taiwan was what He wanted from me next (email me or call me to find out what happened :)). Time after time, He's reconfirmed that to me. Sharing what I have discovered to be true about Jesus is what I believe God wants me to do next!
In order to live in Taiwan and serve in ministry I still need to raise some more financial support. God has answered prayers left and right on this front, and I am confident in God's plan for filling the remaining gaps. This amount will help fill in the gap on various parts of my housing, health insurance, food, and other expenses for one year in Taiwan. My work for the Church and my language classes will be a full-time commitment.
Beyond donating, please pray for me! Pray that Jesus will have mercy and make a way for me to go do that which I am supposed to do. Pray that God gives me wisdom to have clarity about what is important and clarity about what is not important. Pray that God will sanctify me day by day and give me victory over the sins I fight with. Pray that God will pour His Holy Spirit into me and purify me and prepare me in the next month leading up to my departure for Taiwan.
