Amara's Return to the Earth
Our dear Amara has left their body. Our hearts are broken.  Our faces are wet. We wish we were all here together wrapped up in the circle of Amara loving community that they leave behind.
We are raising funds to cover burial costs for Amara. Their requests for their body were to "bury me wrapped in skins, mycelium, my favorite plants," they wanted their body to be compost for the soil--to return to the earth. We need your help to make this happen-- preparation, paperwork and transport to the place where their body can nourish the soil in a place where the land nourished their body while they lived -- a community effort is needed.
If anything is left in this fund after costs, it will go to the legacy they were working to leave behind of purchasing land where they were born and returning it to indigenous stewardship. They purchased this land a number of years ago and has already paid off much of it.
We love flowers. So do you. But flowers wilt and die. Help contribute to Amaras legacy on this planet. In lieu of flowers, please give here.
