Hi, my name is Zoë and I am a 19 year old Scottish fencer. I have been selected to represent Great Britain this summer at the Senior Europeans in Antony, France and World Championships in Hong Kong. Which is an amazing opportunity. I have just finished my final season as a Junior ranked 2nd and I am also ranked 2nd in the British Senior and U23 rankings.

I've been fencing since I was 7 years old and I have been mainly supported by my family. However, the costs of flights, accommodation, competition fees and equipment are getting increasingly expensive. It's difficult to balance picking cost effective flights and minimising university disruption. Whilst it's great that these competitions are in university holidays, it means I am limited in being able to work this summer and earn money to help fund my fencing.

Competing at the highest level in Antony and Hong Kong will help me gain invaluable international experience, further my development as an athlete and prepare me for my first season competing as a senior.
