Supporting Zhonesay & Baby Amias After the Loss of Bryan
Donation protected
On June 21st, 2025, my sister, Zhonesay Apodaca, experienced an unimaginable heartbreak—the sudden loss of her husband, Bryan Apodaca, to mental illness. Bryan was more than a husband and father, he was her best friend, her partner in everything, and the heart of their home. His love, laughter, and support shaped the life they were building together with their 4-month-old son, Amias. He was dearly loved by all that knew him. It is with deep pain for all to know that such a kind, gentle, considerate, and passionate person is lost from this world.
Bryan had been the sole provider for their family, working hard so Zhonesay could stay home to care for Amias while also attending school. His unexpected passing has left behind not only immense grief, but also the heavy weight of financial uncertainty. The pain of his loss is something no young family should ever have to endure.
Zhonesay is now left to navigate life without her husband while caring for their baby boy and finding a way forward. On behalf of my sister, I’ve created this fundraiser to assist in supporting her and baby Amias to help cover the unexpected expenses due to this tragedy.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will provide some relief and allow her to focus on healing and caring for her son without the added financial stress.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping Zhonesay, Amias, and Bryan’s memory in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you!
Every life is precious and matters. If you or someone you know is struggling, please don’t carry it alone. There is help. There is hope. You can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline—any time, day or night. And in an emergency, please don’t hesitate to call 911, especially if someone may be in danger.
