Supporting Will's Recovery

Donation protected
As many of you may know, on the night of February 2nd, Will Nobles was in a horrific single-vehicle auto accident. He was taken to Prisma Richland Hospital in Columbia where he underwent emergency surgery to repair cervical spinal fractures in his neck as well as his left arm and leg. In the following week, he also had surgery to install a diaphragm pacer because his diaphragm wasn’t strong enough to support his breathing. Will remained in the hospital at Prisma Health Richland for 26 days before transfer to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Will was in-patient at the Shepherd Center for 2 months during which he grew physically stronger and to better able to navigate his new normal. Upon discharge from the hospital, Will began their rigorous outpatient therapy program. During that time, his family absorbed the sole responsibility of his care. As you can imagine, all these interventions can be very taxing on a family emotionally, physically, as well as financially. Will remained in the outpatient therapy program until June 23rd when he transitioned to life back at home in Newberry, SC. Will has been home for almost two months; he remains in a powerchair and requires caregivers to provide many of his daily needs. Will is determined to regain what abilities he has lost and continues his outpatient therapies at a center in West Columbia.

While we can’t take away or change the events of February 2nd, we plan to do our best to help this amazing family in any way we can. Please consider contributing to help them cover some of their financial expenses. Even if you are unable to contribute, we ask that you keep them covered in prayer. The family cannot thank all of you enough for the outpouring of love and support during this trying time. Your prayers have brought Will a long way and continue to comfort the family during these challenging times.
