Hello my name is Will DeLaet, a 20 year old junior at UNO. I was working full time, attending regular church and Bible studies, and was very active in sports and weightlifting. I also started to get into calisthenics and gymnastics, where I had a gymnastic related accident over the summer, resulting in a C7 spinal cord injury, paralyzing me from the chest down which includes my hands and finger function. I have spent the last several months at a rehab facilities and I am excited to be going home very soon! I am trying to raise funds because I will need a new accessible car or van, a power assist wheelchair, a chair for the bathroom, and a ramp or lift to get into my house/up my stairs, as well as many other healthcare expenses.
