Supporting Willow Hart and Family
Donation protected
Willow was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. With a very sudden onset of symptoms, she was rushed from the Emergency Room of her local hospital to Boston Children’s Hospital for the beginning of her emergency treatment.
Since the family is based in New Hampshire, where there is no paid family medical leave, they are currently facing mounting expenses due to travel for medical care and regular household management for which they do not have a stable income to manage.
At minimum, the family is looking at 6 weeks of inpatient and 2 years of outpatient treatment and monitoring, most of which they will spend with Willow and not receiving paid leave. So far, Willow is responding well to treatment and the family is awaiting bone marrow test results to determine how long her treatment and time in the hospital will last. In addition to not having a reliable income during this crisis when they need to pay to travel between treatment locations, they also aren't able to manage regular bill payments, such as the mortgage, utilities, and groceries.
Anything you can offer during this time of stress to help the family navigate this financial hardship is welcomed, and so appreciated. All funds will go directly into the family's checking account to use at their discretion for treatment and costs in supporting a household with 3 additional children, including Willow's twin brother.
Thank you for your support.
