Dear friends, family, and kind strangers, it is with profound sadness that we share the sudden passing of our dad, James Pegg, last month. James was the pillar of our family and, alongside our mother, Wendy, the dedicated co-owner of Pegg’s Auto Upholstery for over 40 years. This business was their life's work and their sole income, with James being the master craftsman and primary laborer. Their love and partnership were the foundation of our lives, and his loss has created an unimaginable void—both emotionally and practically.

The suddenness of Dad's death has created an immediate financial crisis. Like many hardworking small business owners, Dad and Mom had focused their resources on keeping the business running and thriving day to day. Now, with the main source of labor and income gone overnight, Mom is facing an immediate financial cliff. While my brother is bravely stepping up to take over Dad's role, the business transition is slow and will not be the same as our parents shared 100% of the business profits, and Mom needs immediate support to cover essential household bills and funeral costs.
