Fighting for My Dad: Help Our Family Through the Hardest Season We’ve Ever Faced

Our family is currently walking through one of the hardest seasons we’ve ever faced.

My dad has been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer, and we are now in a fight for his life. We are standing firm in our faith and believing God for complete healing, but this diagnosis has brought significant emotional, physical, and financial challenges that have shifted our lives almost overnight.

Over the past several weeks, I’ve stepped away from work to travel across the country and be present with my parents, helping care for my dad and supporting my mom as she navigates this alongside him. Being there for them isn’t optional. It’s something my wife and I felt deeply called to do, and I have no regrets about that decision.
But stepping away didn’t pause life back home.

My wife Natalie has carried everything in my absence: our household, our finances, her own work, without complaint, so that I could be fully present with my family. I don’t take that for granted for a single second. But the honest truth is that even with everything she’s doing, the weight of what we are facing combined has become more than we can sustainably carry on our own. Like many families, we are navigating a season where responsibilities have shifted quickly and the need is simply greater than usual.

This is a moment where the support of others can make a real and meaningful difference.

Funds raised will go toward:

•Relocating my parents to a more accessible living situation, my dad can no longer manage the stairs in their current apartment, and moving him to a lower floor comes with costs we weren’t prepared for
•Covering housing and living expenses during this transition
•Supporting travel and caregiving needs so we can continue to show up for them
•Providing financial stability for my mom, who has had to step away from work to care for my dad full-time and has lost his income in their household.

We are also preparing for multiple possible outcomes in the months ahead, whether that means relocating them closer to us in New Jersey, for additional support, or helping my mom transition into a stable situation if and when that becomes necessary. Our goal is simply to be ready to care for them in whatever way is needed, without financial pressure driving the decisions.

We are doing everything we can on our end. This fundraiser is simply a way to allow those who feel led to come alongside us during a season where we need it most.

If you feel called to give, we are incredibly grateful. If not, your prayers, encouragement, and presence mean more than you know.

We are believing for healing, holding onto hope, and taking this one day at a time.

With gratitude,
Warren
