ZIINGO: Supporting Vulnerable Children and Women in Uganda
Donation protected
This is the Official Fundraising Page of Ziingo: Supporting Vulnerable Women and Children in Eastern Uganda (all money raised goes directly to supporting Ziingo, every little helps, no amount is too small)
On behalf of my daughter Alice Bates and Ziingo who are doing all the hard work, this is to all my friends, connections, colleagues present and previous and anyone who has decided to take the time to read this, can I firstly say thank you whatever you can do to help them please do…
The Ziingo Women and Children’s Initiative is here to Empower Women and Educate Children in Eastern Uganda. Every child deserves a good standard of education and every woman should have the tools to build a better future for themselves and their families.
After sending numerous updates to you all via social media platforms I have decided I need to do more, and with your help, WE can do more.
When Alice came to us and said she was heading to Uganda to work with Ziingo a Ugandan charity supporting Vulnerable Women and Children I was slightly apprehensive, anxious yet very proud, and within a very short period of time realised that:
‘we may be all on the same playing field, but we definitely don’t all have the same chances, tools and opportunities to live, participate, progress and achieve on that same playing field’
With this in mind Alice and I have decided with your help to make a difference to the lives of those that Ziingo support by setting up the Official Ziingo Fundraising Page and be part of this amazing work going forward. I will be giving my time and endeavours to bring into everyone’s vision the fantastic work of Ziingo, the efforts each day that Barbra Masibo Co-Founder and Director and the team make and do, but also to clearly show how we can support that through fundraising and individual generous financial gifts.
Let me say and I believe this is important, I’m not doing this because it makes me sad, because I feel sorry for these children and families, take a look at the photos, the children and families are filled with joy and laughter. I am doing this because imagine the ‘beyond joy and laughter’ when opportunities, tools and things we take for granted are added into the mix. Wow…. Lets see this as maybe the chance of ‘levelling the playing field’
Imagine supporting with things like the following:
Paying a child or young persons school fees and providing essentials like notebooks, school bags, shoes, and sanitary towels - giving them the dignity and confidence to thrive.
Supporting women in the community with agricultural training and vital supplies like seeds, so they can grow food, earn an income, and support their families sustainably.
Your support can make a real difference:
* £15 can provide a whole class with notebooks to support their learning.
* £50 can sponsor a child’s school term - including fees, supplies, and a daily meal.
Together, we can level the playing field just a little and give women and children supported by Ziingo the chance to dream, learn, and lead.
