Hello everyone, I’m Chelsea, Ron’s youngest daughter.
What can I say right now. I’m in disbelief.
my heart is broken. My heart aches for my mom, Vicky, who unexpectedly lost the love of her life this Wednesday, the 23rd of July.

Im creating this GoFundMe for my mother to help with the costs of funereal expenses, and to help ease her mind the next couple months while she navigates all of this.
On top of this unforeseen loss, in between caring for her mother, Betty, her eldest daughter has been battling terminal bladder cancer, and my poor mom.. this overwhelming turmoil.
Anything helps and anything is appreciated so that she has just one less thing to worry about.
She is going to need so much love and support the help guide her through this darkness and I know she has many many family and friends who will have her back more than ever, and I thank you with all of my heart for that.

There are many wonderful stories I can personally share about growing up with Ron. The things he taught me, and showed me, and his beloved granddaughters, Daisy and Gemma, so much he taught me that you don’t realize until you’re an adult. The things he taught me so I wouldn’t be such a stupid kid! I think he was proud of the adult I turned out to be.
I thank him for never giving up on me, Kirsten and Dylan, and always being there when us kids and grandkids needed us. And most of all, loving my mom to his very last breath.
I admired their love and loved to see that they both had one another.
The long car rides with Grateful Dead and bluegrass playlists, the woodworking classes he’d give us. The math problems he would cringe at trying to help me with! The times we’d watch ghost hunters, the giants, the rangers, so many things he loved that have influenced the things we love as adults now.
He was great to us. Although not blood, he was our father and I will miss him so so dearly.

I am overwhelmed and saddened to be writing these paragraphs so I must conclude for now.
All I know for sure with all the fog in my brain is he is jamming up a sweat in the clouds on his bass, with Jerry, a fat spliff, in a badass Hawaiian shirt.
