Supporting Vern's Loved Ones: Funeral Aid
Donation protected
Hey friends, family, and to all who love Vern.
I am heartbroken to say Vernon is now waiting joyfully for the rest of us to come home one day. My husband Jim and I were not prepared for Vern, Ingrid, and Vern’s momma Patricia to come into our lives and make such an impact. Vern shared his life with Jim. He sent pictures of his loved ones, his dogs, his truck. He served with my husband. They both just received “The Hope Dealer” award just 2 weeks ago. I wish I had all the right words, I don’t. My heart is truly grieving for his family.
Every Friday night I would quietly tell him to “take care of Jim.” His reply always was “I got him.” Thank you, Vern, for walking alongside and growing with Jim. I am grateful I was able to watch two men become brothers. Vern will be missed in so many lives. I made this post to help Vern’s family plan something they definitely were not prepared for. Anything will help. Most of us are learning to live again, not thinking about planning our funeral. Please help this family. Vern invested so much into serving and giving hope to others. Vern, there’s no more struggle, there’s no more hustle or bustle. My friend, all the joys in the heavens are yours now. May God hold our broken hearts in the same embrace He is now holding Vernon. I’m truly sorry, family. Shannon
