Hello Baseball families and friends of Mike Robertson. Whether you call him Big Mike or The Cowboy, Mike Robertson is one of our favorite umpires and has been a fixture at LBLL and other local leagues for close to 40 years. Big Mike has some health challenges that he will be battling over the next year. The time has come for us to give back to Mike in appreciation for the time and care he has shown to the Southern California youth baseball community.

Many of you might not know that Mike is from Oklahoma and came out to California for college and became a successful podiatrist. In his retirement, Mike went to his love of sports to support his fixed retirement income. You should know that fixed incomes are just that, FIXED. The money Mike earns from umpiring goes a long way each month, and with inflation on the rise, it’s still not enough. If you would like to talk more about Mike’s challenges, you are more than welcome to reach out to myself or Mike McBride to see what else you can do.
