Hello Supportive Friends,
My name is Chelsea, I am trying to help my sweet dear friend Tracy Walker
( I have known her for years). Tracy was diagnosed with Stage 4a Cervical Cancer less than a year ago. My hopes in making this fundraiser is that people, like yourself , take the time to read Tracy's struggle with her cancer & help support her financial needs during this oppressive time. Here is Tracy's bio:
Tracy is in her 40's, and currently resides in Ashland City, TN. She lives in a rented out basement of someone's house that they had posted for rent online . The homeowner stays upstairs in the main living quarters. Tracy has two sons that are 29yrs old & 18 yrs old. Her 18yr old son has Asperger's, so she helps provide for him. In December 2022, Tracy received the devastating news, as the Doctor read off her test results, which indeed confirmed that she has stage 2 Cervical Cancer. Tracy was overwhelmed with shock and fear. The Dr. said the next course of action was to go through radiation. Tracy did receive the radiation treatments Mon-Fri for 8 weeks straight. On her last treatment she was admitted as a inpatient treatment where the surgical team placed numerous rods around the tumor to give her pin point radiation. Tracy has gone through 12 chemo treatments since she found out last December. In the last few months, Tracy found out her cancer had grown progressively into stage 4a Cervical Cancer. With it now being stage 4a CC-Her Doctor also told her that it impaled her bladder, which in turn caused a blockage between her kidneys and bladder. Also, causing a tear in her facia causing her to urinate from her vagina, having no control. In the last month she had a PET scan done to see if the cancer had spread or grew any since the last scan. The results indicated that there was negative growth, it had not got any bigger, but also it was not shrinking. Last week she was admitted to Vanderbuilt, she went to the ER due to having a lot of bleeding & blood in her urine and she was also in immense pain. They kept her a week in the hospital. The end result of her hospitalization was due to that tear in the facia & the blockage between her kidneys & bladder, She had to get surgery to create two holes in her back one for each kidney. Then they inserted the catheter and drainage tubes and connected the urinary bags at the end of each tube. Mainly known as a "Foley catheter leg bag". She was told she may have to have these for the rest of her life and this is her new "normal". The dressings on her back and tubing has to be changed periodically every month, and the catheter & tubes need to be replaced with new ones (which requires surgery) every 3 months.
**Tracy has not been able to work full-time since this February. She was doing some part-time work that she attempted to work when she was able too. Unfortunately, usually she was only able to work maybe a day or two because of her pain, fatigue, dizziness, weakness, nausea, overall sense of not "feeling well". With her not being able to work full time since February, she is behind on her rent, utilities, medical bills, prescriptions, etc. Her landlord said she has 8 weeks to move out of his basement due to the rent not being paid. Tracy has applied for disability and shockingly got denied. She is planning to keep applying for it in hopes of receiving it.
-Two days ago, Tracy and I were talking and I asked her what her plans are for finding somewhere else to live, She just kind of shrugged and said "I am not sure to be honest". She told me she had found a RV Camper that she would absolutely love to get to put on her oldest son's land and live in that. I saw her light up and was genuinely so happy just telling me the details of this camper. I would love to make this dream camper happen for Tracy, so she has a place of her own were she can rest with ease knowing no one can take it away from her, or make her move out. She desperately needs a stable & comfortable living environment as she is going through one of the hardest and painful things a person can go through. Please help me get Tracy this Camper home so she can just concentrate on her upcoming chemo treatments & be able to relax after. And not have to stress over finding somewhere to live in the Middle of winter! GOD BLESS YOU!
I LOVE YOU TRACY :)
