My longtime childhood friend, Toni, is currently battling Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Treatment consists of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, double mastectomy, radiation, and reconstructive surgery She has already undergone chemotherapy and is now preparing for a double mastectomy following a series of radiation treatments. As part of her recovery, Toni will need to be off work for nearly a year.

Toni is a hardworking single mother raising her incredible 17-year-old daughter. During this time, we want to come together to support her and help ease the overwhelming financial burden of medical expenses and everyday costs as she focuses on healing and returning to normal life.

Toni’s Story

I recently learned that I have breast cancer. As I move forward through treatment, I’m holding tightly to God, to strength, resilience, and to the love and support surrounding me. I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan and am grateful to be receiving excellent care. I’m also deeply thankful for my village and the many prayer warriors lifting me up.

For those who know my journey, this isn’t my first—or even second—experience with cancer. Each time has been a different form. This is my third, and today I stand as a presurvivor—someone taking proactive steps, staying informed, choosing hope, and committed to sharing what I learn so others don’t feel alone.

I’m sharing my story not only to keep my loved ones informed, but also in hopes that it reaches someone who may be facing something similar. Please know—you are not alone. If my openness helps even one person feel seen, supported, or a little less afraid, then it is worth it.
