Thank you everyone for your ongoing support of Toby and his grandparents, Anna and Les. As we approach the end of the year, they have reached out to share that they are finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with the costs of Toby’s needs, including his current therapy supports as he continues to navigate the loss of his mum.

With Christmas approaching, along with school-related expenses such as uniforms, any contribution—no matter how small—would be greatly appreciated.

Toby is truly thriving at Kinder, and with the right support, we know he will continue to do so.

My name is Lauren Harris, and I am the Director of John Mackenzie Kindergarten. I am reaching out on behalf of our wonderful JMK community to support one of our much-loved children, Toby, and his family.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Toby’s mum, Krystyna. She was a devoted and loving solo mother whose warmth, kindness, and strength touched everyone who knew her. Krystyna’s love for Toby shone brightly, and she will be deeply missed by all.

Toby is such a cherished part of our Kindergarten community—his bright smile, curiosity, and gentle nature bring joy to those around him. As he faces this heartbreaking loss, his grandparents, Les and Anna, are stepping in with courage and love to raise him.

This fundraiser has been created to ease some of the immediate pressures on the family, including contributing towards funeral expenses and helping to support Toby’s ongoing care, stability, and education. Our hope is to give Les, Anna, and Toby space to grieve and heal, knowing they are not alone.

At John Mackenzie Kindergarten, we are proud to be a community that stands together in times of need. Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference to Toby and his family and will remind them that they are surrounded by love and support.
