Our dear friend Titia is such a bright light in this world! Everywhere she goes, she brings energy, positivity, and her smile always lights up the room. She is a true giver, a deeply valued community member and a great friend.

Titia was diagnosed with both lobular and ductal breast cancer last summer. In order to receive the care she needed, she moved to Vancouver Island for 2 months. During this time she had a tumor removed as well as a mastectomy. She is now going through chemotherapy back home but will be leaving her family to once again to return to Vancouver Island for radiation treatment in the late spring.

The good news: the prognosis for full recovery is very high. The not-as-good news is that Titia will be in treatment for several years, has had to stop working and is often away from her sweet loving family.

We all know that Titia is the last person to ask for help, but she is in need of our support. The last thing she needs to be worrying about while in the depths of this healing journey is the financial strain on her life and family. We are starting this campaign to help ease her mental load and the financial burden that not being able to work has put on her.
