A Sudden Medical Emergency Changed Everything
On August 1st, 2025, our world was turned upside down.
After a long day at work, I tried calling my wife several times—something I normally do throughout the day. Every call went unanswered. Our teenage son, my sister, and other family members also tried waking her. She’d open her eyes for a moment… then fall right back asleep.
When I finally got home, I knew immediately—something was terribly wrong. Her face, her behavior, and her inability to stay awake were alarming.
⚠️ A Life-Threatening Discovery We rushed her to the ER and trauma center. After several tests, doctors made an incidental discovery that may have saved her life: An 8mm Basilar Artery Aneurysm—a rare and potentially fatal condition. “The aneurysm is located at the base of her brain in an artery that feeds both sides. If it ruptures, it will likely be fatal.” My wife is the rock of our home.
She’s compassionate, selfless, and has dedicated over 20 years to caregiving in skilled and assisted living facilities. Now, she’s the one who needs care—and urgently. To make matters even harder, this devastating news came just six months after we lost my father, who was tragically killed while biking to work.
Our savings were used to give him the respectful funeral he deserved. Urgent Treatment & A Tough Road Ahead She was transferred to a Level 1 Neurological Trauma Center with some of the best neurosurgeons in our region. Her blood pressure is now being tightly managed with four medications to prevent a rupture.
Due to severe anxiety and the emotional toll of being hospitalized, she was discharged early—but her condition remains critical. At our follow-up appointment, the neurosurgeon shared the only viable plan: A coiling or WEB device procedure to stop blood flow into the aneurysm. “The surgery carries a 4–7% risk of rupture—which would likely be fatal. But waiting is even riskier.” This is not elective—it’s medically necessary.
The surgery is scheduled for 3rd week of August, 2025. Why We're Asking for Help This medical crisis has put a crushing financial strain on our family. I’ve taken unpaid leave from work to care for my wife, transport her to appointments, and keep our household running.
We’re currently facing: Emergency room and hospital bills Ambulance transport costs between hospitals Medication expenses (including blood thinners for 4–6 months) Lost income from unpaid time off Basic household expenses: food, rent, utilities We’re doing everything we can—but we can’t do this alone.
✨ How You Can Make a Difference Your support will help us cover: Lifesaving surgery and hospital expenses Medications and follow-up care Transportation to and from appointments Household essentials while we focus on recovery Support for our children during this difficult time Whether it’s $1, $5, or $500—every donation makes a difference.
Your kindness gives us room to breathe, space to heal, and strength to keep going. Help Us Spread Awareness If you've made it this far—thank you. Please share this message: “If a loved one seems off—too sleepy, confused, or acting strange—don’t ignore it. Trust your gut. Seek help immediately. It could save their life.” We never imagined our lives could change so suddenly.
But this unexpected discovery gave us a second chance—and we’re holding onto that with everything we have. ❤️ With Deep Gratitude From our family to yours—thank you. For reading, for your support, for your prayers, and for sharing our story.
With love and gratitude,
