This September, I’ll be lacing up my running shoes and taking on the 10K at Run Reigate—not just for the challenge (a big one for me as I have only recently taken up running), but for a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart.
My son has autism. Like many families, we’ve navigated the ups and downs of finding the right support to help him thrive. One of the most transformative experiences we’ve had was being given access to Equine Therapy through The Therapeutic Tutors. It was more than just time with horses—it was a space where my son could build confidence, develop communication skills, and experience emotional calm in a way that traditional therapies hadn’t been able to offer.
Watching him connect with these gentle animals—seeing my busy child find calm and learning how to respond to needs that are not his own—was nothing short of magical. It’s a gift I wish every child with additional needs could receive.
That’s why I’m running. To raise funds so that more children and families can benefit from the life-changing impact of Equine Therapy. The Therapeutic Tutors are doing incredible work, and with your support, we can help them reach even more children who need this kind of care.
If you’re able to donate, share, or simply cheer me on, I’d be so grateful. Every step I take on race day will be for the kids who deserve a chance to shine.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
