Ryan Kolya Nik Vas Quinn
On September 3rd, our family received the heartbreaking news that Ryan Quinn, 29, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, had been found deceased in Drake’s Creek near the Reginald Kirby Bridge on Old Scottsville Road. His unexpected passing has left our family devastated and with so many unanswered questions. His death remains under investigation, and we are holding onto hope that answers will come.
He had friends and a life in Kentucky, as well as family and friends in Pennsylvania. We will hold a celebration of life in each state so the people who knew and loved him in each place will have the opportunity to remember him and share their memories.
Several people have asked how they can contribute toward his final arrangements and celebrations of life. We created this page in response to those requests and now there is only one official place for anyone who chooses to contribute. We also want to prevent anyone from taking advantage of his death by creating an unauthorized fundraiser.
Contributions will help with his cremation and final arrangements, a celebration of life in Kentucky, a celebration of life in Pennsylvania, his burial, and the travel and lodging expenses for immediate family traveling to Kentucky to spend time with the friends who knew and loved him there.
Our family will ensure these arrangements and expenses are taken care of. Please do not contribute if doing so would create any financial hardship for you. We understand many people are dealing with difficult circumstances of their own. A message, a photograph, a memory, or simply sharing something about Kolya or Nic with us means just as much, if not more.
Details for both celebrations of life will be posted at QuinnKids.com as they become available. The site will also provide a place to share photographs and videos of him. QuinnKids.com is being completed now and should be available within the next day or two.
The investigation into his death remains ongoing. Because of that, there are details we are currently unable to share. Anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation should contact Sheriff Brett Hightower at [email in comments below].
Thank you to everyone who has reached out, shared a memory, checked on our family, or asked how they could help. We are grateful for all the people who were part of his life.
