Family and Friends, we have put together a gofundme.com account for a well deserving family who are in need. "Big" Mike Woods and his family need some assistance.
Mike has been in and out of the hospital for heart related issues now for a few years, to the point it has caused him to retire at an early age. Since he has been out of work, his heart has gotten progressively worse. With the heart issue, also comes a kidney issue.
Since before Labor day weekend of this year, Mike had been at Emory all but maybe one week. Stephanie, Corey and Syd have been back and forth, missing time at work themselves and accruing large medical expenses along the way.
As of 2 weeks ago, Mike was told he needs a Heart and Kidney transplant. Mike is a high risk candidate- being a high risk, Emory will not do the surgery. The Doctors at Emory worked with Mike and Stephanie and had him transported to a hospital that will, Duke University. Duke University is a 6-7 hour drive from where they live.
With this Go Fund Me, we are asking you for donations to help anywhere they need it. Whether it helps with transportation and hotel stay for Steph, Corey, and Syd, or helps alleviate any hospital or life bills that have or will come their way.
Since we moved down here in 2005, Mike and Steph were the first couple we met once we got our feet on the ground. They have treated us like family from the get go and there is no doubt they would treat you the same way. If you have anything to give please help this awesome family out.
