Supporting the Wilkerson's

Donation protected

Hello,

Our family is deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of our beloved Scott "Rusty" Wilkerson.

This is Bethany Wilkerson and for those of you who do not know me, I had the wonderful opportunity to have Rusty (Scott) as my father-in-law. Scott was the most loving, caring, humble person I have met. He always made sure his family came first and was taken care of. Scott was never one to ask for support or help. However, he was always the first one to lend a helping hand to those in need. Due to the sudden passing of Scott, the family is now challenged with many unexpected expenses.

Scott and his wife Wendy, of 34 years, were living out their lifelong dream of living in Florida and being by the ocean. Now that Scott is no longer with us, Wendy is now faced with moving all of their belongings out of their house and to another location. If you feel led to support this wonderful man and his family in their time of need, please consider donating.

Thank you in advance to everyone who has loved this family and feels led to donate.

Obituary below:

J. Scott ‘Rusty’ Wilkerson - on August 30, 2021, at 7p Scott ascended to Heaven surrounded by his family. He was 55 years old. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Wendy Jo Stewart Wilkerson (formerly of Glen Mills, PA and North East, MD) his boys, Coty (Catherine) of Charleston, SC and Nicholas (Bethany) of York, PA along with his grandchildren Hunter, Charlotte, and Luke, and his dog, Chai. He was a graduate of North East High School, North East, MD where he and Wendy raised their family for 30 years. Scott was the best husband, father and grandfather in the entire world and not only spoke words of love but showed unconditional love and encouragement through his actions. He cared deeply about providing for his family, integrity, and character. He took time to play with his kids in their backyard and supported their athletics and aspirations the best he could. He was a humble man with a very strong faith who chose to quietly show his beliefs by the life he led and his actions. Scott would help anyone he could, thus the hashtag #rustyfix was born. He was an active member of Discover Life Church in Melbourne, Florida. Scott was extremely proud to be a long-term, hard worker for General Electric. His hobbies and interests included guns, Yahtzee, Rummy, Solitaire, watching ice hockey, being at the beach, all things NASA and rocket launches, along with storm chasing and weather watching.
