It is with a shattered heart that I share the news of an unimaginable tragedy. On Friday, June 12th, at approximately 6:00 PM, my lifelong best friend, Jordan Walters, and his wife, Sierra Walters, were killed in a head on collision.
Words cannot adequately describe the loss of two people who were such a vibrant and beloved part of our community. Jordan and Sierra were still so young, and they were taken from us way too soon. Jordan was much more than just a friend; he has always felt more like a brother to me. He was the absolute definition of what it means to be a true friend if you were in his life, he had your back no matter what, through everything. Beyond our friendship, Jordan was a dedicated coach to his son and a genuine role model to every single child he mentored. He led with integrity and heart, leaving a lasting impact on all the kids who had the privilege of playing under him.
Sierra was a beacon of light in our lives and in the lives of so many others. She was the devoted caregiver for my own two boys since they were babies, and she poured that same incredible love, patience, and warmth into every single child she cared for over the years. To the many families who trusted her with their little ones, Sierra was more than a babysitter; she was a cherished part of the village that helped raise their children. The impact of her kindness and the safe, loving environment she created will be felt by all those families for a long time to come.
In this horrific accident, their two young sons (ages 6 & 4) were also in the car. By a miracle, they survived, though they are currently in the hospital recovering from injuries and, more importantly, the sudden, traumatic loss of their parents.
I am starting this fund to help secure the future for these two boys. In the blink of an eye, their entire world has changed. All funds raised will go directly toward the boys' immediate medical expenses, funeral costs for their parents, and their long term care and educational fund.
No child should ever have to face a future without their parents. While we cannot take away the pain or the heartbreak they are experiencing, we can come together as a community to ensure that these boys are supported, cared for, and reminded that they are not alone.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a profound difference in their lives during this devastating transition. Please consider donating and sharing this page to help us reach those who knew and loved Jordan and Sierra.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love, your prayers, and your support for these two precious boys.
