If you know Brandon, you know he is a fighter.

For the past 20 months, my brother-in-law, Brandon, has been fighting stage 4 colon cancer. He has endured chemotherapy, radiation, countless procedures, hospital stays, ERCPs, infections, and unimaginable pain.

Through it all, his greatest motivation has always been his family—my sister, Ashley, and their two daughters, Madison and Taylor. He has fought so hard for more time with them.

Unfortunately, they recently received the news no family ever wants to hear. Brandon’s cancer has progressed to the point where further treatment would no longer help and would only cause him more harm. He is now receiving hospice care and has returned home from Mayo so they can spend this precious time together.

There is no easy way to write those words.

Ashley, Brandon, Madison, and Taylor have always been incredibly close. Their family, their two businesses, their home, and the life they have built together mean everything to them. Now, they are facing a heartbreaking chapter none of them ever expected.

Throughout these past 20 months, they have also worked to keep their businesses running while navigating treatments, hospital stays, appointments, and travel to Mayo. Their employees, family, friends, and community have stepped up in ways that have meant more than words can express.

So many people have asked, “What can we do?” or “How can we help?”

Asking for help has never come easily to Ashley and Brandon. I am creating this fundraiser on their behalf to give those who love them a way to help carry some of the weight.

Donations will help ease the financial pressure of medical and hospice-related expenses, household bills, time away from their businesses, meals, gas, and the unexpected costs of caring for Brandon. They will also help provide stability for Ashley, Madison, and Taylor in the days ahead.

More than anything, this support will give Ashley room to focus on Brandon and their girls—to be present, care for him, and cherish their time together with fewer worries about work and the next bill.
