Supporting the Vicki Lundberg Family in their Loss

Dear friends and family,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts asking for your help with a fundraiser for the Lundberg family – Vicki and her two daughters, Becca and Hannah.

Vicki and her youngest daughter experienced the massive shock of coming home after work and finding that her son Matt, age 27, had died in his sleep in their apartment on Jan. 29, 2024. Cause of death is still unknown.

Matt was the oldest of 3 children and was living with them, working, helping pay for rent, utilities, and food. Matt was excited as he was recently promoted at work.

As Vicki supports herself and her youngest daughter through freelance Spanish interpretation work in San Diego County (this means: no benefits, irregular work schedule and income that usually just covers living expenses), this GoFundMe will give Vicki the ability to fund Matt’s funeral arrangements, plan a memorial service, pay for trauma counseling, and carve out time and space to grieve and plan their path forward.

The goal is to help support Vicki and her daughter through 2024 by replacing the funds that Matt contributed to the family. Any excess funds raised will help Vicki’s youngest daughter with college tuition.
